MISSOURI — A woman was killed and a man was seriously injured after a motorcycle struck a deer in northeast Missouri, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 8:45 p.m. Monday on Highway 6 south of Lewistown in Lewis County.
Troopers said a 67-year-old man from Knox City was driving a Honda Goldwing motorcycle with a 74-year-old woman from Knox City riding as a passenger when the motorcycle collided with a deer.
Authorities said the woman was flown to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver was taken to Blessing Hospital with serious injuries, according to the crash report.
No additional information was immediately released.
