
GEORGIA — Nearly 7,000 customers across Georgia are without electricity as of Tuesday morning, according to outage data from PowerOutage.us.
The outage tracking website reported 6,950 homes and businesses without power statewide out of more than 5.1 million customers being monitored. Georgia currently ranks second in the nation for the total number of outages and third for the percentage of customers affected.
Cobb County reported the highest number of outages with 2,705 customers without power. Clayton County followed with 1,018 outages, while Lincoln County reported 615 customers affected. Other counties with significant outages included Fulton County with 521 outages and Catoosa County with 467.
Among utility providers, Cobb EMC reported the largest number of outages with 2,305 customers without service. Georgia Power reported 2,071 outages, while College Park Power reported 1,375 customers without electricity.
PowerOutage.us said College Park Power had the highest percentage of customers affected statewide, with about 14.26% of customers without power Tuesday morning.
Utility crews continue working to restore electricity across the state.
