SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was killed in a crash involving a tractor-trailer Sunday night in Orangeburg County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 8:30 p.m. on South Carolina Highway 6 near Tee Vee Road.
Investigators said a 2018 Dodge sedan traveling south on Tee Vee Road was attempting to turn left onto Highway 6 when it was struck by a 2023 Freightliner tractor-trailer.
The driver of the Dodge died at the scene, according to troopers.
Authorities said the driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to a hospital. The extent of the driver’s injuries was not released.
No additional details have been released as the investigation continues.
