
FLORIDA — Three people were injured in a boat crash early Monday morning on the Hillsborough River in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Officials said the crash happened when a 19-foot vessel carrying four people was traveling on the river near Ignacio Haya Linear Park.
Authorities said the boat crashed into rocks near the shoreline after an incident occurred on the water. Details about what led to the crash have not been released.
Three passengers were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries, according to FWC.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded to the scene along with the Tampa Police Department, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.
The crash remains under investigation.
