TENNESSEE — Authorities are investigating a fatal crash on KY 233 in Knox County that left one person dead Friday night.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to the Gray community at about 9:55 p.m. following reports of a fatal collision.
Investigators said a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by the Knox County Coroner.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim.
The investigation remains ongoing. Deputies said they are being assisted by the Barbourville Police Department.
