LOUISIANA — A 19-year-old Texas woman was killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 190 in St. Landry Parish, according to authorities.
The crash happened near Jennings Road when a vehicle traveling west on Highway 190 failed to brake and rear-ended another vehicle in front of it.
State police identified the victim as Courtney Hodge, 19, of Texas. Investigators said Hodge was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and suffered fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
