FLORIDA — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday evening in a crash on U.S. 441 near HCA Florida Ocala Hospital, according to the Belleview Police Department.
Police said the crash happened around 6 p.m. when a vehicle struck a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Authorities closed the roadway following the crash and rerouted northbound traffic through Belleview Square Plaza while investigators worked at the scene. The roadway has since reopened.
Officials have not released the identity of the motorcyclist or information about what led to the crash.
Police also have not released the condition of the other driver involved.
The crash remains under investigation.
