OHIO — A man was arrested after a traffic stop in Hanover Township led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the stop was initiated after officers observed what they described in court documents as “suspicious activity.”

During the stop, deputies questioned a passenger in the vehicle, identified as 32-year-old Jacob Turner. According to a complaint filed in Butler County Area 1 Court, Turner admitted he had “a couple” of needles on him.

Officials said deputies then conducted a pat-down and felt what they described as a “large lump” between Turner’s legs near his backside. When asked about it, Turner allegedly admitted the object was a bag containing methamphetamine.

Authorities said the substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Deputies reported recovering about 37 grams of suspected illegal narcotics.

Turner has been charged with third-degree felony possession of drugs.
