FLORIDA — A deadly crash shut down a roadway in Martin County Thursday morning, according to local authorities.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office and Martin County Fire Rescue responded to the crash near Southwest Pratt Whitney Road and Southwest Bulldog Way shortly before 9 a.m.
Officials said the crash was fatal, but no information about the victim or the circumstances surrounding the crash has been released.
Authorities said Southwest Pratt Whitney Road is expected to remain closed for several hours as crews investigate the scene. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
The crash happened near South Fork High School, according to officials.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains ongoing, and additional information is expected to be released later.
