TEXAS — Interstate 45 northbound at North Main Street in Houston is currently shut down after a big rig crash Wednesday morning, according to Houston TranStar.
Authorities said the crash was verified around 6:26 a.m. on the North Freeway near North Main Street.
Traffic cameras showed the tractor-trailer appeared to be jackknifed across the roadway, forcing all northbound traffic off the freeway and onto the service road.
Officials have not said how long the closure will remain in place.
It is also unclear whether anyone was injured or what caused the crash.
Drivers in the area are being urged to expect significant delays and seek alternate routes while crews work to clear the scene.
