
OHIO — More than 4,200 homes and businesses across Ohio are without electricity Monday morning, according to statewide outage tracking data.
PowerOutage.us reported 4,284 customers without power statewide out of more than 5.47 million tracked customers.
Franklin County reported the highest number of outages in the state Monday morning with 2,112 customers affected. Hamilton County had 711 outages, while Montgomery County reported 301 customers without electricity. Other counties with notable outages included Cuyahoga County with 219 outages and Columbiana County with 168.
American Electric Power Ohio reported the largest number of outages among utility providers with 2,358 customers without power. Duke Energy listed 726 outages, while FirstEnergy reported 553 customers without electricity.
According to the outage tracking website, Ohio currently ranks eighth in the nation for the total number of outages and 13th nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.
Franklin County was listed as the hardest-hit county in Ohio Monday morning, with about 0.36% of tracked customers without electricity.
Residents experiencing outages are encouraged to contact their utility providers for restoration updates and avoid downed power lines.
