
OHIO — More than 2,500 customers across Ohio are without electricity Friday morning, with the largest outages concentrated in central and northeast parts of the state, according to PowerOutage.com.
As of Friday morning, 2,549 homes and businesses are currently without power statewide out of more than 5.47 million tracked customers. Ohio ranks seventh in the nation for both the number of outages and percentage of customers affected.
The largest county outage is in Franklin County, where 1,094 customers are without service. Lake County is reporting 825 outages, while Summit County has 197 customers without electricity. Additional outages are being reported in Cuyahoga County, Belmont County and Hamilton County.
Among utility companies, American Electric Power Ohio is reporting the most outages with 1,205 affected customers. FirstEnergy is reporting 1,168 outages statewide.
Cleveland Public Power has the highest outage percentage among tracked Ohio utilities, with about 0.09% of customers affected Friday morning.
Utility crews across Ohio continue working to restore electricity as outages remain active Friday morning.
