
FLORIDA — A driver was killed Friday morning in a crash involving a flatbed truck and a box truck on Okeechobee Road in Hialeah, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the crash happened in the southbound lanes of Okeechobee Road at the intersection with Krome Avenue.
Investigators said a yellow flatbed truck crashed into the back of a box truck that was stopped at a red light.
The driver of the flatbed truck was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The driver of the box truck was not injured.
Troopers closed two southbound lanes of Okeechobee Road following the crash.
The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
