
OHIO — Two people were killed Thursday afternoon after a plane crashed into a home in a residential neighborhood in Akron, according to police.
The crash happened on Canterbury Circle in the Coventry Crossing development in the southern part of the city.
Authorities said the plane went down in the neighborhood and struck a house, which became fully engulfed in flames following the crash.
Police said the two people killed were connected to the aircraft. No residents on the ground were reported injured.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the crash.
Officials have not yet released the identities of the victims or additional details about the aircraft. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
