OKLAHOMA — The arrested two livestreamers Thursday morning following an apparent swatting call in downtown Tulsa.
According to police, officers received a report of a bomb threat near 211 North Elgin Avenue. While officers were responding, the caller claimed to be near Avery Kitchen and Bar with a bomb strapped to his chest and a firearm, threatening to shoot people if officers did not “come and get him.”
Police said the caller later told officers he was standing in a parking garage near red doors. When officers arrived at the garage, they encountered four people exiting while recording a livestream.
Officers attempted to speak with the group, but police said they refused and continued walking away. The four individuals were then detained for further investigation.
During the investigation, police discovered that 23-year-old Noah Boswell had an outstanding felony warrant. Boswell was booked on charges including threatening a violent act, according to authorities.
Another individual, 19-year-old Trevor Brinkley, was arrested on an unrelated city warrant. The remaining two individuals were released without incident. Investigators later determined the incident was a swatting call and said there was no ongoing threat to the public or officers. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
