GEORGIA — An 18-year-old is facing a murder charge after a fatal stabbing in DeKalb County, according to police.
DeKalb County Police said officers responded late Tuesday night to a reported stabbing at a location on 3 Oaks Bend.
When officers arrived, they found 38-year-old David Bowman suffering from stab wounds. Bowman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Bowman’s death Thursday morning and said the cause and manner of death remain under investigation.
Police identified the suspect as 18-year-old Courtney Estrada. Authorities said Estrada was located at a nearby location and taken into custody without incident.
Estrada has been charged with murder in connection with the case, according to DeKalb County Police.
The investigation remains ongoing.
