
OHIO — A 36-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting early Thursday morning in east Columbus, according to police.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police responded to the 700 block of South Chesterfield Road near East Main Street around 3:05 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found the man lying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Police said additional information about the shooting, including details about a possible suspect, was not immediately available Thursday morning.
The investigation remains ongoing.
