OHIO — Cleveland police said detectives seized large amounts of drugs and cash during a raid connected to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation on the city’s West Side.
According to the Cleveland Police First District VICE Unit, detectives executed a search warrant last month at a residence on the West Side as part of the investigation.
During the raid, officers recovered more than eight ounces of cocaine, over 60 grams of heroin and $12,500 in cash.
Police said an arrest warrant was later issued for the suspected drug trafficker, who was located at a second address. The suspect, whose identity has not been released, was taken into custody without incident.
Authorities said the suspect was charged with first-degree felonies.
Investigators also carried out a follow-up search warrant that led to the seizure of an additional $107,024 in cash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
