
MISSOURI — A 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed early Thursday morning in a single-vehicle crash in St. Louis County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 12:55 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 near Ballas Road.
Investigators said the man was riding a 2002 Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle when he lost control, traveled off the right side of the highway and struck a guardrail. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle during the crash.
Emergency crews pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
