OHIO — A motorcyclist died following a crash Wednesday morning at the intersection of East Main Street and Burnett Road in Springfield, according to police.
The crash was reported at 9:04 a.m. on May 13. Springfield Police Division Traffic Sgt. Derek Smith said a motorcycle traveling north on Burnett Road through the intersection was struck by a pickup truck that was turning east from the north and allegedly failed to yield.
Police said the motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and taken to a local hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead.
The Springfield Police Division’s traffic unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of either driver.
