
TEXAS — More than 8,000 customers across Texas are without electricity Wednesday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 8,301 customers are experiencing active power outages statewide out of more than 15.6 million tracked customers.
El Paso County is reporting the highest number of outages in the state with 2,629 customers without power. Jefferson County follows closely behind with 2,586 outages. Other counties reporting significant outages include Bexar County with 938 customers affected, Montgomery County with 766, and Wood County with 360.
Among utility providers, Entergy is reporting the largest number of active outages with 3,252 customers affected. El Paso Electric is reporting 2,627 outages, while CPS Energy has 938 customers without power.
Officials say Texas currently ranks second in the nation for the total number of active outages and seventh nationwide for the percentage of customers impacted.
Outage numbers continue to change as utility crews work to restore service across affected areas.
