Two people arrested following drug bust in Iowa

IOWA — Two people were arrested following a drug investigation in Fort Madison, Iowa, where authorities said methamphetamine, marijuana and firearms were discovered during the execution of a search warrant.

According to the Lee County Narcotics Task Force, investigators executed a search warrant May 1 at a residence located at 5836 Avenue O, Trailer 134.

During the search, officials said they found methamphetamine, marijuana, two firearms and drug paraphernalia consistent with the distribution and use of controlled substances.

Brandon Erb was charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug house and control of a firearm by a felon.

Heather Hayes was charged with maintaining a drug house, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force said the investigation involved assistance from the Fort Madison Police Department, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
