OHIO — A Dayton man was arrested Monday following a drug investigation in Portsmouth that led to the seizure of suspected fentanyl, cash and a firearm, according to law enforcement officials.
Allen Deangelo Moore, 26, was charged with trafficking and possession of drugs, according to a joint press release from the Portsmouth Police Department and the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said officers executed a narcotics-related search warrant shortly after 7 a.m. at an apartment in the 1200 block of Robinson Avenue in Portsmouth.
During the search, investigators said they seized more than 200 grams of suspected fentanyl and other opiates, a loaded firearm, digital scales, baggies, more than $1,100 in cash and additional evidence connected to drug trafficking.
Officials estimated the street value of the suspected drugs at more than $25,500.
Moore was booked into the Scioto County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
Investigators said additional charges could be filed after the case is reviewed by the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office and presented to a grand jury.
