OHIO — A 32-year-old Gallipolis man died Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Gallia County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of Georges Creek Road and Johnson Ridge Road in Gallipolis.

Investigators said Kruz White was riding a 2013 Yamaha R1 sports bike westbound on Georges Creek Road when he crossed left of center and struck a 1997 Jeep Wrangler.

According to troopers, the driver of the Jeep had backed out of a driveway and was established in the eastbound lane before the collision occurred.

White was pronounced dead at the scene.

Georges Creek Road was shut down for about two hours while troopers investigated the crash.

The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office, Gallia County EMS and the Gallipolis Fire Department also responded to the scene.
