VIRGINIA — Police in Emporia are searching for a missing man who may be in danger, according to the Emporia Police Department.
Authorities issued a missing persons alert Tuesday morning for Jesse James Cherry III, who was last seen around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, May 10.
Police said Cherry left in a silver 2004 Lexus ES 330.
Cherry is described as a Black man who is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 235 pounds. He has black hair styled in cornrows and brown eyes.
“His family reports this behavior is unusual and is concerned for his wellbeing,” police said in a statement.
Officials said there is no indication of foul play at this time, but officers are actively trying to locate Cherry to ensure his safety.
