
VIRGINIA — One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash along Interstate 85 in Brunswick County early Saturday morning, according to Virginia State Police.
Troopers said the crash happened around 3:45 a.m. on May 9 on Interstate 85 North near the Route 630 exit.
Police said troopers responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash and found one person dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
All northbound lanes of I-85 were shut down for an extended period while crews responded to the crash. Virginia State Police said the Virginia Department of Transportation assisted with the closure.
The crash remains under investigation.
