MICHIGAN — A 35-year-old Troy man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Rochester Hills, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on eastbound M-59 near Livernois Road.
Investigators identified the driver as Cody Scott Trebush. Authorities said he was driving a 2006 Mazda 3 when he lost control of the vehicle and was unable to navigate a curve.
The vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail, officials said.
Trebush was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe excessive speed may have been a factor in the crash. It was not immediately known whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the incident.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate.
