FLORIDA — One person died early Sunday after a vehicle crashed into a tree in Port Orange, according to police.
The crash happened shortly before 4 a.m. at the intersection of Yorktowne Boulevard and Hidden Lake Drive, the Port Orange Police Department said.
Authorities said the driver died at the scene. The person’s identity was not immediately released pending notification of next of kin.
Police have not released additional details about what led to the crash.
Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about it to contact Port Orange Police Department Traffic Homicide Investigator Officer Meaney at 386-506-5838.
The crash remains under investigation.
