
LOUISIANA — More than 1,000 fentanyl pills, firearms and several other illegal narcotics were seized during a narcotics investigation in Lafayette Parish, according to deputies.
The investigation led to the arrest of 33-year-old Veronica Noble, who faces multiple drug and weapons charges.
Deputies executed a search warrant Thursday evening at a home in the 1000 block of Riceland Drive.
During the search, investigators said they found varying amounts of illegal drugs along with two shotguns and a handgun.
Authorities said the drugs seized included about 1,400 fentanyl pills, approximately 239 grams of crystal methamphetamine, about 18.5 grams of fentanyl, around 7 grams of methamphetamine, roughly 50 dextroamphetamine tablets, approximately 27 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and more than 30 unidentified pills along with other prescription drugs.
Noble was charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute Schedule I controlled dangerous substances, two counts of possession with intent to distribute Schedule II controlled dangerous substances, possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substances, possession of a firearm in the presence of controlled dangerous substances and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
She was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
