OHIO — A 68-year-old woman was killed in a crash involving a pickup truck while riding a bicycle in Wayne County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just before 4 p.m. Thursday on Harrison Road in Franklin Township.

Troopers said a Ford F-350 pickup truck and the bicyclist were both traveling westbound on Harrison Road when the bicyclist attempted to make a left turn into a private driveway without signaling as the pickup truck was attempting to pass on the left.

Authorities identified the bicyclist as Emma Miller, 68, of Fredericksburg. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said Miller was not wearing a helmet or reflective safety equipment at the time of the crash.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
