TEXAS — At least two people are dead following a crash on the Southwest Side of San Antonio on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
The San Antonio Police Department said the crash occurred along Southwest Loop 410 near Valley Hi Drive. Authorities confirmed that at least two individuals died as a result of the incident.
As of around 4 p.m., the Texas Department of Transportation reported that three of four northbound lanes on Southwest Loop 410 were blocked due to the crash, causing significant traffic disruptions in the area.
Officials have not released details regarding how many vehicles were involved or what led to the crash.
The scene remains active as investigators work to determine the cause. It is also unclear when the affected lanes will reopen.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
