SOUTH CAROLINA — Four people have been arrested following a drug investigation involving multiple search warrants in Greenwood, according to the Greenwood Police Department.

Officers executed a search warrant Tuesday at Phoenix Place Apartments, where three individuals were taken into custody. Authorities said 20-year-old Franklin Saintwain Roberts was charged with simple possession of marijuana.

Police reported that 63-year-old Timothy Brown and 36-year-old Evelyn Timpson were each charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Later Tuesday evening and into early Wednesday morning, officers were searching for 20-year-old Latavise Barnard Martin in connection with a fentanyl trafficking investigation. Police said Martin was located in the parking lot of his residence and taken into custody without incident.

During the investigation, officers found narcotics at Martin’s home, along with documents linking him to a nearby vehicle. Authorities said the vehicle had been reported stolen out of North Carolina.

Martin was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and receiving stolen goods valued at $10,000 or more. Police also said he had an outstanding warrant for trafficking fentanyl.

All four individuals were transported to the Greenwood County Detention Center, where they are awaiting bond hearings.

Police said the arrests are part of ongoing efforts to address illegal activity and improve public safety in the community.
