MARYLAND — A 42-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night after detectives recovered drugs and a handgun while executing a search warrant at a home in Glen Burnie, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

Authorities said the search warrant was carried out around 10:20 p.m. on May 5 at a residence in the 7800 block of Bruton Drive as part of an ongoing drug dealing investigation. Detectives observed the suspect leaving the home and detained him before executing the warrant.

During the search, officers recovered a 9mm Ruger pistol, two rounds of ammunition, and multiple suspected illegal substances. Investigators reported finding approximately 160 grams of an unknown powder that is pending analysis, along with suspected crack cocaine, heroin, Adderall, and alprazolam.

Police also said a modified soda can with a hidden compartment containing suspected drug residue was located at the scene.

The suspect, identified as Roy Thomas of Glen Burnie, was arrested and charged in connection with the findings.

The investigation remains ongoing.
