NORTH CAROLINA — A 22-year-old man died following a motorcycle crash Tuesday night in North Wilkesboro, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened just before 10 p.m. on Mountain Valley Church Road near Cora Caudill Road.
Investigators said Winston Jahleel Poe, 22, of North Wilkesboro, was riding a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja westbound on Mountain Valley Church Road when he drove off the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned. Authorities said Poe was ejected across the guardrail during the crash.
Poe was taken to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Wilkes Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Officials said no charges will be filed in connection with the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the State Highway Patrol.
