
NORTH CAROLINA — A crash involving a school bus in Charlotte’s University City area left one person injured Wednesday morning, according to officials.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of West W.T. Harris Boulevard and Research Drive. Medic said one patient was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials have not said what caused the crash. It was also unclear Wednesday morning whether students were on board the bus at the time of the incident.
Photos from the scene showed a North Carolina school bus stopped along the roadway as emergency crews responded.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools had not released a statement as of Wednesday morning. No additional details were immediately available.
The investigation remains ongoing.
