
FLORIDA — Thousands of homes and businesses are currently without electricity across Florida Tuesday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the most recent update, approximately 2,372 customers are without power statewide, representing about 0.02% of the more than 10.9 million customers tracked.
Miami-Dade County has the highest number of outages, with about 794 customers affected. Other counties reporting notable outages include Putnam County with 285 outages, Marion County with 223 and Broward County with 200. Additional outages are also reported in Pinellas, Alachua and Palm Beach counties.
Florida Power & Light Company is reporting the largest number of outages among utilities, with more than 1,400 customers affected. Clay Electric Cooperative and Duke Energy are also reporting outages, though at lower levels.
Florida currently ranks among the top 10 states nationwide for total outages, though the overall percentage of customers affected remains relatively low. Restoration efforts are ongoing.
