
LOUISIANA — A 30-year-old man was found dead early Tuesday morning following a shooting at a convenience store in Baton Rouge, according to police.
Officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the scene near the intersection of Perkins Road and Myrtledale Avenue, close to the Interstate 10 on- and off-ramps.
Authorities said the victim was discovered inside a vehicle with fatal gunshot wounds. The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office arrived at approximately 2:10 a.m. and remained on scene until around 4 a.m.
Police have not released the victim’s identity, and details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation. Officials say additional information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
