One person dead following motorcycle crash in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA — A motorcycle crash in LeFlore County claimed the life of one man and left another person injured Saturday, according to authorities.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 51-year-old Daniel Jennings, of Wister, died after his motorcycle collided with a car on State Highway 112 just west of Bud French Road. The crash occurred around 11:50 a.m. on May 2.

Investigators reported that a Ford Escape traveling westbound crossed left of center and struck Jennings’ eastbound Yamaha motorcycle. Debris from the crash also hit a Nissan Frontier that was traveling behind the motorcycle.

A 52-year-old woman was also injured in the crash. Officials have not released details on the extent of her injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
