TEXAS — Thousands of residents across Texas are without electricity Saturday morning as scattered outages affect multiple regions of the state, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.

As of the most recent update, approximately 4,690 homes and businesses are without power statewide, representing about 0.03% of the more than 15.6 million customers tracked. While the percentage remains relatively low, Texas currently ranks second in the nation for the total number of outages.

The highest number of outages was reported in Harris County, where more than 1,000 customers were affected. Other counties experiencing notable outages included Bexar County with 849 customers impacted, Calhoun County with 365, and Dallas County with over 200 outages reported.

Among utility providers, CenterPoint Energy reported the largest number of customers without power, followed by CPS Energy, American Electric Power Texas, and Oncor. In terms of outage severity, Houston County Electric Cooperative reported the highest percentage of customers affected.

Officials have not released a single cause for the outages, which appear to be scattered rather than tied to one major incident. Restoration efforts are ongoing, and customers are encouraged to check with their local utility providers for updates.
