MISSISSIPPI — A two-vehicle crash in Lincoln County claimed one life Friday morning and remains under investigation, according to authorities.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol said troopers responded to the scene around 8 a.m. on Highway 84. Investigators reported that a 2016 Ford F-150 driven by Alexis Bass, 30, of Natchez, was traveling east when it collided with a 2015 Volkswagen Passat.
The Passat, driven by Jeffery Grimes, 40, of Ruth, was traveling north on East Lincoln Road at the time of the crash.
Grimes was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
No additional injuries were immediately reported.
Authorities have not released further details as the investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
