INDIANA — A person is in critical condition following a shooting on the city’s near east side late Friday night, according to police.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded just after 10 p.m. to the 3600 block of Brookside Parkway South Drive on a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they located a victim suffering from injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported from the scene in critical condition. Police have not released any information about the victim’s identity.
Investigators have also not identified any suspects or persons of interest at this time.
The shooting remains under investigation. Authorities say additional details will be released as they become available.
