Georgia high school evacuated following bomb threat

GEORGIA — Students and staff at Parkview High School were evacuated Friday morning after a bomb threat was reported on campus, according to school officials.

The incident occurred at the school in Gwinnett County, where administrators said the evacuation was carried out “out of an abundance of caution.” Authorities confirmed that all students were safely removed from the building and remained under supervision while the situation was assessed.

The Lilburn Police Department responded to the scene and began conducting a thorough search of the campus. Officials indicated that, at this time, there is no evidence suggesting the threat is credible.

A letter sent to families reassured parents that students were safe and that law enforcement was actively working to clear the school.

Nearby Camp Creek Elementary School, located adjacent to the high school, may also have been affected, though officials have not confirmed any direct impact.

The situation remains under investigation, and updates are expected as authorities complete their search of the campus.
