ILLINOIS — A 28-year-old Rockford man was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and a semi-trailer truck Tuesday evening on Interstate 90, according to authorities.
Illinois State Police said troopers responded around 6:30 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash on I-90 eastbound near Beverly Road in Hoffman Estates.
Officials said a motorcycle and a semi-trailer truck collided. The motorcycle driver, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as Mufeed B. Albo Yasen, was pronounced dead at the scene.
All eastbound lanes of I-90 were shut down for several hours following the crash and reopened just before midnight.
The crash remains under investigation.
