NORTH CAROLINA — Police in Thomasville are asking for the public’s help in locating two missing teenagers who were last seen leaving school together.
According to the Thomasville Police Department, 14-year-old Heavenly Barnett and 17-year-old Sherman Allen Bush Jr. were reported missing shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities say Barnett was dropped off at Thomasville High School earlier that morning but never attended class. Surveillance footage shows Barnett and Bush leaving school grounds together. They were last seen walking west on Unity Street.
Police say Barnett has pink hair and was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. Bush is described as having blonde streaks in his hair and was last seen wearing a cream-colored hoodie and dark-colored pants.
Investigators believe the two teens are together.
Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to contact the Thomasville Police Department or call 911. The investigation remains ongoing.
