
TEXAS — A 55-year-old Amarillo man has been indicted on multiple federal drug and firearm charges, according to court records.
A federal grand jury indicted Timothy Scott Gambrel on one count of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to the indictment, Gambrel was carrying a Ruger LCP .380-caliber handgun on April 7 while attempting to sell methamphetamine.
Officials said Gambrel is scheduled to make his initial appearance in federal court on Wednesday.
The case is being handled in federal court, and no further details have been released.
