One person arrested following drug bust in Louisiana

LOUISIANA — A 61-year-old Opelousas man has been arrested in connection with multiple felony drug charges, according to authorities.

Police identified the suspect as Jerry Deville II. He is charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute oxycodone, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to police, officers executed a search at a residence near the 200 block of Pine Loop in Opelousas.

During the search, investigators said they found approximately 97 grams of crystal methamphetamine, about 20 grams of suspected fentanyl, three small bags of suspected marijuana and one tablet of oxycodone.

Authorities also noted that Deville had previously faced other drug charges and was out on bond at the time of his arrest.

The case remains under investigation.
