INDIANA — One person is dead and three others were injured following a crash Tuesday afternoon in Johnson County, according to authorities.
Johnson County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a serious crash on April 28 at the intersection of West State Road 135 and County Road 500 West (Spearsville Road), near Trafalgar.
Officials said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Three others were transported to hospitals in the Indianapolis area for treatment, including one person who was airlifted by a medical helicopter.
Authorities said State Road 135 at County Road 500 West will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time while investigators process the scene.
Multiple agencies, including the Trafalgar Police Department, Trafalgar Fire Department, Bargersville Fire Department and the Johnson County Coroner’s Office, are assisting with the investigation.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
