NORTH CAROLINA — A Hubert man is facing multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from deputies and causing property damage during a pursuit, according to arrest warrants.

Court documents identify the suspect as Renaldo Meadows. He is charged with fleeing to elude arrest, resisting a public officer, littering, exceeding the posted speed limit, failure to maintain lane control and unsafe movement.

According to warrants, the incident began in the areas of Freedom Way and Tallman Circle, where Meadows allegedly fled from law enforcement. Authorities say the pursuit ended in a crash that resulted in more than $1,000 in property damage.

Investigators also allege Meadows exited the vehicle during the incident and left the keys in the ignition.

Warrants further state that Meadows was speeding in a 35 mph zone and failed to maintain lane control along Lake Cole Road and Wood Road, while also making unsafe movements.

Officials say Meadows is also accused of providing false information to law enforcement and fleeing the scene.
