MARYLAND — Three men are facing charges after being arrested in connection with multiple thefts and drug possession in Harford County, according to authorities.

Deputies were called around 4 p.m. April 17 to a store on Constant Friendship Boulevard in Abingdon for a reported theft.

When officers arrived, they spoke with the store’s loss prevention team, who said three men had stolen merchandise before leaving in a vehicle and driving to another nearby store.

Police located the vehicle in the second store’s parking lot and began searching for the suspects.

Officers said one of the suspects was found inside the store attempting to leave with unpaid merchandise, while the other two were located outside.

The suspects were identified as Raymond McLemore, 38, of Rising Sun; Wallace Johnson Jr., 63, of Baltimore; and John McCauley Jr., 45, of White Marsh.

Investigators determined the three worked together to steal more than $1,600 worth of merchandise from one store and more than $800 from another.

Police said McLemore initially gave officers a false name and was wearing a jersey he admitted to stealing.

A search of the suspects’ vehicle led to the discovery of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, authorities said.

All three men were arrested and taken to a local detention center.

Officials said McLemore and Johnson were held without bond, while McCauley was released on an unsecured bond.

The case remains under investigation.
