VIRGINIA — Nearly 5,000 customers are without power Monday morning in James City County, according to officials.

Dominion Energy reported that the outage is impacting thousands of customers in the area near Jamestown High School.

The cause of the outage remains under investigation as crews work to assess the situation and determine what led to the disruption.

Power restoration is estimated to occur between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., officials said.
